Welcome!
My name is Nick Marzolf. I am a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Biology at Duke University in the Biogeochemistry (#DukeBGC) lab.
My research broadly explores how freshwater ecosystems are changing: from changes in biological composition, disturbance regimes, metabolic energy inputs, biogeochemistry, and the effects of climate change. I study at multiple scales: from sub-daily changes in pH and dissolved oxygen to multi-year cycles in El Niño Southern Oscillation and from focal stream reaches to continental-scale changes in river productivity.
